Engine Degreaser caused Auto Tranny problem???

I used a can of Engine Degreaser, sprayed it all over the engine compartment. Let sit 15 minutes. Garden hose to rinse (thoroughly, I believe). Parked in sun to dry for a couple hours with hood open.

Drove about 25 miles on interstate. Engine Malfunction light came on as I lost power to wheels. Felt a slip of transmission just prior.
Engine running fine.

Side of road: oil and tranny fluid present via dipstick check. No visible leaks or items dangling under car.

Two hours later returned to car. Engine Malfunction light still on. Started easily. Transmission engaged smoothly (R 2,3,D).

Made it 50 yards. Same thing happened. Coasted to shoulder. Called tow.

I changed out the trans fluid a few days ago via the "drain and fill x3" technique.

My neighbor is thinking linkage, but I welcome your input. I am showing code P0730 which is the Improper Gear Ratio code. And I see a lot of info here about tranny problems showing that.

Dealership recently said I need new motor mounts all around incl. tranny mount. I have ordered them.

What should be my plan of attack?
Replace Mounts first?
What about transmission solenoids and harnesses? Maybe degreaser affected wiring?

2002 civic ex, automatic transmission, 130,000.

thanks!!

Anyone think the degreaser may have affected the solenoid?

It shouldn't. Did you try cleaning the electrical connectors on those solenoid?

What fluid did you use? Also, try doing a ECU relearn.

If that fails try to clean the shift solenoid screen. See attachment.

P0730 Honda - Faulty Shift Control System
Possible causes
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Shift solenoids
- Transmission mechanical problems
- Transmission hydraulic control circuit

Now THAT's a plan! Thanks for the doc

"If that fails try to clean the shift solenoid screen. See attachment."--does this refer to the "filter/gasket E" on 14-117 (2,4)?

I used Maxlife ATF. Don't know what previous owner had in there. Lots of shavings and metallic sludge on the plug magnet.
