ahhh, what is this fell off my civic 03

Hi,

I need help identify this metal bar fell of my civic 03, 4 doors yesterday.

Not too long ago, my civic started making a clanking noise when I hit bump or pot hole on the road. It sound like it came from under the hood closer to driver side. Eventually I thought because of my tools in the trunk. I rearranged the tools in the trunk, it seemed to be fixed. Just yesterday, while making right turn in residential area (so I wasn't moving very fast), there was a clanking noise again. When I got home, I turned steering wheel right to back into my drive way, there was another clanking noise. At this time, I can hear the car has a low frequency humming sound, not terribly loud but it's certainly new. I thought I drive back onto the road to see what's going on. Upon just got onto the road by turning right, I can hear clanking noise of something fell of my car. I got out and found this metal bar just in front of the rear tire on the driver side. The car sounded normal again, no more low frequency humming. I just backed into my driveway again, didn't want to risk breaking on the road. From the short distance back baking into my driveway, the car feels normal to me. Anyway, does anyone recognize this metal bar? Thanks

btw, my car is canadian honda civic 03, 4 door sedan.

What can I say?
I'm a tool junkie, and I'm a tightwad.

I'd expect it has been hiding in your car since someone left it there. Maybe they would like to have it back?

You should find a new mechanic if he's using that!

LOL if your mechanic doesn't have a prybar you should find a new one. The labor hours you pay for no prybar would be rediculous if they aren't flat rated....
