Rep Power: 0 Clutch Needs Replacement?
Got a 2004 EX with the 5 speed MT, 54k miles on it. The clutch is acting strange. I swear the bite point is moving higher up on the pedal. But what's really annoying is that the bite point is very sudden. I mean, that sucker bites all at once, especially in the morning when I first start driving. I've always had the fluid flushed regularly and it's not leaking clutch fluid. Suggestions/thoughts? The car is second hand, but the previous driver seemed to know how to drive stick. Thanks guys!

Re: Clutch Needs Replacement?
With only 54k on it I doubt your clutch is even close to needing replaced, I have 120k on my '05 Civic and the clutch doesn't bite like it used to but it's still going strong. I've heard of people getting over 200k on a stock clutch.
Clutches are always more abrupt when they're cold, that's to be expected.
More than likely your clutch pedal just needs adjusted.
Either take it to a shop or follow this DIY:

Re: Clutch Needs Replacement?
If your bite point moves it could be the clutch slave cylinder. I needed to replace mine but the car has 140k on it. My clutch bite point moved down though not up and it wasn't loosing fluid cause there was a leak internally. Since you don't have many miles on it would try what anibis said.
