oil level o4 civic ex

the problem is i have no manual, and cant see new oil very well on dipstick. can someone please tell me how many quarts of oil it takes when changeing??. i got 3 in and i think i see a line. or maybe im nuts.

make sure to wipe the dipstick off completely and then hold it in the sun to read it better. you should be able to at least see the shine. each oil change is different for me. sometimes its 3 qts, sometimes 3.2, 3.4, etc.

Specs for an oil change with filter in the D17A1 is 3.7qts. D17A2 and D17A6 is 3.4qts. I have a D17A2 and I've always put in 4qts and went about my business, never had a problem. * You're results may vary.
