2001 Civic EX 1.7 L/AT Intermittent Power Problem

97+ degrees. Drove 5 mi @58 mph with A/C on, intermit prob. began: all at once and momentarily: shifter light out, RPM up slightly, CEL on, then back to normal. This went on for 5 more min. then noticeable loss of power but engine still running; shifter Light out, RPM at 0, CEL on. Going from complete stop was slow. Had to Downshift “2”, “D3”, “D” to go. Went 50 mph but no pep going uphill. Pulled over, turned engine off then back on and it started and idled fine. Reverse indicator working and drives in reverse but problem still present. 20 min later, I started car again and all symptoms were gone and everything is normal. Drove to dealer (20 mi.) and all is well. Dealer could not recreate problem and could not read code. suspected bad Cam Sensor. Changed it but intermittent problem persists but not hard failure as before. Symptoms occur only when hot outside never A.M. Will read code when CEL stays on. Any ideas would be appreciated.
