Question What's going on with it?

Okay so about 2 days ago my key refused to go into the ignition...Turns out the stupid thing needed to be replaced...After calling around and getting a quote of at least $300 my boss called someone to do it for $100....

Now it's working but it's harder to turn the key and now the horn isn't working...
Did the guy screw something up or forget to hook something back up?

Also a few months ago my dad had the transmission replaced at Pep Boys (which I found out sucks by the way) and now whenever I turn the car on after awhile it makes a stupid annoying screeching sound....

Everytime I've taken it to them they say oh it'll go away after awhile....But um nope it still does it...Any ideas what could be wrong with both the horn and maybe the fan belt

Not sure about the noise issue since you just got new ignition but I do know that the wires behind the horn buttons are so short you can barely get your fingers on them and they usually fall in the steering wheel...Im almost sure they couldnt get them plugged back in the back of the buttons..It really can be a pain since there is not a lot of slack on the wires. I believe you paid $100 for a half *** job.

that squealing is prolly a loose belt in the engine bay. good luck with the pepboys transmission, i doubt youll get more than a year out of it. for the key and ignition, try spraying some silicone lube on both the key and inside the lock cylinder and turn the key a few times to lube everything. let it dry for a couple hours or overnight.
