Some tranny problems? Not sure if its a problem with my shifting.

Hey guys just have a question. Every once in a while when im driving usually this happens in 2nd gear but. What happens is when I slide it into 2nd and drive like any other time I usually drive the car starts to shake. The car doesnt accellerate at the rate it should and the car is kind of going in a forward and backword motion alsmot as if someone was pushing it forward and then holding it back. Anyways it goes away once I down shift and then shift back into gear. Im not sure if its a problem with my shifting because I recently learned standard or a problem with the transmission itself. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think you are shifting to early causing the revs to fall to far. What speed are you shifting out of first at?

I am shifting normally. I always shift at least 3000 rpm. Like I said. I down shift and re shift and the problem is gone.

Speed doesnt matter. However its probably around 20km/h.

I have a similar problem with my 02 civic DX, which has 148,000 miles on it. It's been doing this since 100,000 miles. The dealer said I have the input bearing problem and needed a new clutch. I'm still on the original clutch and never had the input bearing replaced. Just every once in a while, maybe once a week, when in second gear, the car loses acceleration then shakes like it's about to stall unless I put the clutch in. But if I put in it neutral and back into second, I can accelerate and the problem doesn't happen again for a few more days. I guess it's not a big deal.
