2004 civic sport 1.6 type r replica

i have just brought a 2004 1.6 vtec sport 3dr hatch but has the type r body kit on . i have a couple of questions as i have always had ford st24 etc but had to down size due to fuel prices . first of all when the car is idle it fluctuates up and down is this normal and also when i rev the car it wont go past 4000 revs is this also normal.any info would be great

could you please elaborate lol lol as havent a clue about hondas so as much info would be great


just a add on (just took kids to school and it revs over 4k when you are driving and giving it some its only when you try and rev it when your parked up and first pull off and also the fluctuation only seems to be when the car is warm and the fan kicks in any info would be great.
