Re: BAD vibration between 28-40 mph
When I was going through this I noticed that everypost about the tranny problem was never updated. I could never find how they solved their issue.
Decided I would provide the information that actually helps: the solution.

i had a problem too, my car used to vibrate and everyone told me that it was the fault of automatic transmission and at the end i changed the axles inner kits (the ones that are attached to the transmission not the other that are attached to the wheels(hub)), the car was fine.
do not waste money on other things as i did, vibration cannot come from within the gear. save ur money.

Update on issue. I recently did a change out of the seals on the engine and transmission. Front main, rear main, input shaft, axle seals and more. I went ahead and replaced the passenger axle shaft(new one this time) and most of the engine/tranny mounts (the non solid ones)
The vibration is gone. I am still betting that it was the axle shaft, but because I replaced the axle seal and motor mounts, I will never know for sure which one was the culprit.

The fix for me was a tranny fluid drain and refill. Do it 3x with Honda ATF. Drive a 100 to 200 miles between each draining. Since doing this corrected my problem, I do a single drain & refill once a year to extend to life of my tranny.
Having a tranny filter to replace would be great too, to bad we can't get to that clogged lifetime filter without taking apart to whole torque converter.

Re: BAD vibration between 28-40 mph
I just saw this posting a day later after mine. Thank you. Yes I will try 3x ATF you suggested. Since my last post I still have the problem although I don’t drive car much. I did replace the shift solenoid with OEM new one but did not fix the problem. I did have the tranny fluid replaced by shop but I wonder which type and maybe now due anyways since it has been more than a couple hundred miles. I will have the mounts checked as suggested in another posting. I did have cd axels replaced and did not fix the problem. I know the sensor and computer are the other possibilities. I am trying to avoid replacing the torque converter of cour$e until everything else is ruled out. This car only has very low miles less the 50k when problem began and I am wondering how many others have had this problem with very low miles too ?
