Axle problem
Hey guys... this is a bad one.
I had my front passenger side CV boot torn a while ago, and I never fixed it. It spit lithium grease and all, but it's been a while now. The car now seems to pull HARD to the right under acceleration, but not when I'm off the gas. I'm assuming that the boots grease is allll gone, so now I'm left with the problem. Everyone tells me to just go get that axle replaced and that will fix the problem, but I'm hesitant. What exactly would I need to get for the axle. Is it a half shaft, or whatever. I'll just be picking up an aftermarket OEM one since soon I'll be swapping to K axles
Any help you all can provide would be great.

Because it wont be right away, and this problem needs to be addressed. Anyone with a worthwhile response?

Yeah, well I'm saying, if I went to the store, what would I need to tell them I want. It's just the outter axle shaft?

check the other one too man.....so this is what you were talking about in class....I'm not sure if they come with the grease in the boot already.......you need to change the seals where the axles mount

Man what a ****. Replacement boot kit is 30 something dollars. Pull the axel out redo the boot, shove that **** full of grease and done. How hard is that? have you ever thought about going to pep boys and reading the manuals? So you have been driving without grease in your CV for a long time? Might as well replace the whole axel because by now you ****ed up in the inner axel. Take the axel out take off the shitty boot, inspect the damage you have created by being lazy and evaluate how much its damaged for the inner race.
