I recently did the 2nd oil change on my sons 05 civic ex se and thought as long as I was under the hood I'd check his air filter. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get at it?? (the owners manuals provided with car are useless) There appeared to be a bolt at rear of the box near the firewall but I couldn't tell if it was holding the cover on or just a mounting bolt (maybe both?) After removing this bolt the cover didnt budge, it almost seems as though its a sealed unit. Do I just have to pry it open (that seems odd) Is this a dealer only replaceable thing (seems unlikely) Can anyone help??

Look for a cover with 7 bolts just behind the valve cover.
6 along the edge and 1 near the center.
Can use an 8mm (if I am correct) socket to loosen them.

Undo the screws (15 and 16 (x6)), lift the cover.

DOH!! I cant believe I'm that stupid I can't believe I couldn't see that, well, maybe it was the 12 pack a bud lite, sorry guys for such a dumb question.
