Any Ideas: serious problem here

Ok you may remember me posting about some of the probs i have had with my civic in the last couple of months. If you havent here is the run down. Stock 01 hx 50k miles begins screwing up. It dies it wont start it doesnt idle right and it al began with the wont go over 4k rpms deal. So Honda dealership tells me it is low compression. Ive never had a reason not to belive them so i swap my engine for an 01 ex engine with 14k miles and of course start it up and instantly does the same thing. Now going on advice from this site i went and purchased an ecu from honda believing that would be the solver. So i did that and had Honda do the programming, the car then decided it didnt want to start, my dealership has had this car for 2 weeks and finally got it to start yesterday and now they say it is running like it did two months ago when this all started. I am out of patience, out of time and out of funds to fix this car does anyone have any ideas what the hell is going on with this car. Any help would be extremly appreciated. thanx Brian

hmm...i think you have gremlins. It seems odd that you swapped the engine and everything is still bad. Did you do a full swap? Ignition? check any of the fuses?

Maybe its your fuel filter or fuel pump.. could even be a clogged catalytic converter. You must have a really lame dealer also if they cant figure out the problem. Usually when theres something wrong the computer will spit out a code. No codes?

^^^ Yeah, that's sounds like the dealer doesn't really know that they're doing. Sounds like it has nothing to do with the engine... have they done a full inspection of everything else besides the engine?

And if there are any codes being thrown, I can look them up for you in my Helms manual.
