Regular quick struts and shocks vs coilovers

I have a 2012 Honda civic lx and need to replace my shocks and struts sorta soon. I was thinking of going with kyb quick struts and kyb or sach's for the rear. It's my daily driver mostly to and from work and I'd really like something that rides really smoothly. I can get kyb for the front and rear from rock auto for about 350 for everything. Are coilovers worth the extra expense? I mostly ride on highways, no twisties at all, but there's almost constant construction at some point along my route.

Coilovers are generally used for performance modification, or lowering, neither increase comfort.

If you don't want to lower the car and want stock ride comfort just stick with the KYB quick struts.

I just want something super smooth riding. Guess someone can delete this thread if kyb quick struts are as good as it's gonna get.

Kybs are the most "oem-like" otherwise buy OEM ones

What about monroe quick struts? They're a little more than kyb. Are they worth it? I never really hear much about them other than "yep they're a thing that exists."

I've heard the quality on the monroes can be hit or miss. For what it's worth I put kybs on the front of my 2000 and I'm quite happy with them
