2006 civic engine mount upper torque rod stripped/stuck screw

I was able to remove the two front screws for the upper torque rod, but for the rear single screw, it sarted to loosen, where the screw moved around easily, seeing like it was attatched to a bolt. But as I kept loosening the screw, it began to tighten up, being very difficult to loosen, even with my impact driver. At this point, it wasn't loose anyore. Something did not seem right, so I tighented it up again. I didn't want the screw to strip or break.

Is there a loose bolt at the bottom, or is the thread on the bottom portion of the torque rod sandwich?

Any idea what may be happening, and what are my options?

Do I need to take it in for service?

Thanks!

There will be a welded nut inside the bracket on the bottom. Is the bolt hole part of the mount seized to the bolt you're trying to remove? Or maybe it's just corroded threads on the end of the bolt now trying to come through the nut.

I was thinking the same thing but I didn’t want the screw to either break off or have a free nut to drop off the bracket.
