waxing problem

after waxing the car is shiny but when i looked at it nder the sun the swirl pattern of my rag w/ the wax can be seen.............is it that i put too much wax???or should i use a finer cloth towel??.......i rebuff it but the swirl just change pattern like a HANDPRINT OVER A DEAD BODY that i cant remove!! but it is shiny though!! yeah alot of people have the misconception fo waxing on adn waxing off in circular pattersns... what i feel best is putting on the wax witha soft balled up terry cloth towel and then takign a really soft fine cloth and removing the wax in one direction in a straight line... this doesnt make a lot of swirls.. swirls most fo all coem from drying ur car with a coarse cloth or not having enough water when washing it... i have a buncha swirls and now I have to get compound and spend about 2 hours buffing my whoel car with a buffer

If you have the problem that you still see the wax pattern in the paint after pulling the car in the sun...I will tell you the easiest way to remove these marks...It is a trick that many detailers use. What I do, is after i wipe all the wax off the car, I re wash the car with car soap and a wash mitt....then hose the car off and dry it with a chamois. This will remove the wax marks and also any powder that the wax left on the surface.
