Hello, I have a 05 civic ex(auto) that came with 1 key only. To avoid having to get a 2nd key programed, is there a bypass module that works without the need of a 2nd key inside the box? If so, post a link with the part. I found the xpresskit pkall which seems like it's a keyless bypass module. Thank you

for the price of a bypass module you could get a key, call locksmiths and parts stores in you area to get prices/availability.
or if you don't mind having the green key flashing on the dash its pretty easy to override the immobilizer

Can i make a copy of the key that has the chip, use the copy to turn the car in via ignition and leave the chipped key inside the box? Will that create any issues?

Is this for a remote start install or are you trying to avoid buying a second key to use all the time in the car?

I have used the xpresskit and it worked great in my 01 Civic.

Ok. I didn't like the idea of leaving a key in the car and seeing as I only had 2 also didn't want to give one up. I think I paid 30-40 for the xpresskit.
