Clutch not working

Question Clutch not working
I put a new motor in my car and when I put the tranny on the clutch doesn't work. I wiggled the clutch release fork and it has a ton of play. not sure whats wrong. Took apart put it back together and same problem. I did use a clutch alignment tool.

did someone else do the job? take it back.

Looks like the clutch plate is a goner
