I have a 2002 d17a1 was overheat because of radiator. Put a new one in and also a thermostat. Drove it home no problems overheating. Friend drives it for a week then a hose busted and they pulled over immediately. We replaced that and ever since then keeps overheating. Bypassed heater core just to see if that was problem but still overheats. We noticed upper hose got hotter than the lower and thought thermostat. My friend checked the thermostat and works fine. Any ideas?

Is your overflow reservoir gaining coolant (white reservoir on the left side of the engine bay)? Sure sign of a bad head gasket.

I noticed when we turn off the car the coolant in the reservoir starts bubbling like it’s boiling.

Keep watching the level. It appears it’s a bad head gasket
