Trouble diagnosing issue

Not sure where to post, never been on the forum. Just bought an 02 Civic EX from a coworker for daily travel (a little over an hour one way, bought for mileage) and for the first few days it was great, very happy with the car. One morning I notice it gets hot. I always leave early so I had time to stop, check fluids (all good, been checking

You found out why the last owner got rid of it.


Bet the antifreeze level inside the radiator is quite low.
Head gasket blown....plus any other damage that goes along with an overheat situation.
