Both low beam bulbs blown simultaneously
Both low beam bulbs blown simultaneously
Hey everyone,
Was on a long drive the other night in my 05 civic lx when I pulled off the highway to stop at a gas station. I put my turn signal on and cancelled cruise control to get off the highway and my low beams got very bright for a couple of seconds and blew out, then my airbag light came on.
I pulled into the gas station with my brights on and investigated a bit. I had just bought the 9006 bulbs brand new. No fuses were blown and the filament in the bulbs was cooked. I started the car again and the airbag light went off.
I swapped my high beams over to the low side (still connected to the high beam switch) and finished my drive. I spent yesterday trying to replicate the issue and can’t come up with anything.
Really scratching my head here. Anyone have an idea as to what can cause this?
