performance exhaust/muffler with no sound???

is there an exhaust system out there that has no sound>??

or minimal as much as possible?
'cause i drive family members.. and kids once in a while.. i dont want them to be saying.. what the heck is that damn noise... and blah blah blah.

i've been reading that magnaflow is the one that creates the least sound.. compared to like hks and all....

or is this where a 'silencer' would come to play>??
'cause i heard from a shop that magnaflow does not have a silencer........... ??

any positive comments would help.
and any suggestions on exhaust. - muffler and cat back combo
is that what makes an exhaust system set up? haha....

thx.

I actually put on a HKS, hiper today, really really nice low rumble, not annoying at all! It was a bolt on for a GS400 so they essentially cut it down and made it universal. BUt im pleased with the sound very quiet, but he messed up the install, will get it fixed eventually

the dc sports tcs is the most quiet exhaust sysmte i've ever heard..... at normal revs and driving, the sound is almost like stock.... but if you gun it and hammer the throttle, it get's quite loud..........

with the magnaflow, it's great driving around "normally", but once you heat it up by doing a stretch of the 401 around 130km+, the muffler heats up and get's pretty loud and annoying........

hope this helps.

If you wanna keep it quiet, just get a custom mid pipe with a high flow resonator and have them weld your stock muffler on to it.

I was thinking about doing that on my car... I have a 2 1/4 mid pipe and recently installed a resonator cause I wanna tone the car down but it's still pretty loud. I thought about putting my stock muffler and changing the tip. Would that really quiet it down even with 2 1/4 mid pipe?

Umm... go factory, just because its stock doesn't mean it sucks and because its 2.5" in diameter doesnt mean it'll suck lol. Try the GSR's (custom) or the SiRs

i agree the HKS hiper is not that loud, not until you start changing your headers and cat. But you can buy a silencer for it too.

HP Racing muffler... I want to change it to a typeV with silencer so I can go stock-sound when I want to... which is pretty much all the time.

Have you decided, Will has it pretty much dead on, GSR, ITR, S' are basically available performance Honda exhaust systems. These are basically performance cars and the engineers of Honda should know what is good and not. And many "aftermarket" mufflers with a lot of nice arent really performance, your amount torque can be substanially affected with its pipe sizing. Too much flow = no low end torque, and vice versa.

i like it a lot b/c i rarely notice it....... i also have injen short ram installed.
