Athlon are indeed power consuming, I guess you will need a better battery (increase of cci?), if I remember correctly, VIA processors are fanless because they consume so little power and produce so little heat. The best thing to do is set up a mini watercooler from the trunk or the rear to under the seat.
Anyways its a great idea, someone go be the guinea pig.

There is a heatsink on the VIA, but no fan.
FO: it's absolutely possible to put under a seat... In that case we'll have to put it in an ITX case, and mount it somehow. What I need to know is what sort of input do you have on your LCD?
