H22 is good for drag.. thats all....

if you want a high reving car... get a b18 or b16...

No more mumbo jumbo.... Whats the FULL POTENTIAL.. of a civic??

the answer.... with the engine you get with the car....

NOT FAST ENOUGH..if your looking for performance get the RSX type S Spend teh extra cash

I agree

H22A is the best engine for drag racing, as it is more powerful (torque wise) than the GSR block.

For circuits and such, B20 Block with a B18 Head = <- after a spin

Sorry guys hate to burst your bubble but the h22's have highway gearing... and B series are mostly for Autocross... none the less an H22 in a Eg does mid 13s... But she's very heavy though...

They're about 90kg more than a civic coupe, which is acceptable since the TypeS engine weighs probably even more than that when comparing it with the Si engine.

and u know how much heavier is the H22 compare to the B16 or B18?
extra weight in teh front end is no good cuz the rear end will be way too light

but its a front wheel drive... so you WANT weight on the front....

and this is ONE of those special cases you can have a BIG *** (Downforce) spoiler... for weight balance

Thats what makes the H22 such a great 1/4 mile racer...

i agree with VICLX.

the h22 is an awesome drag motor.
lots of torque and HP to back it up!

my buddy dropped a h22 in a EG hatch... and some guy in a cavalier wanted to race him w/NOS.... who do you think would of won??? oh yeah the guy was 250lbs in a cavalier, u can use all the NOS u can get hauling that much weight!

my buddies hatch had integra dash and everything in his car!

But it's not that great on a circuit. Trust me, once you start racing on the track, you won't like drag racing as much anymore.

I race at Shannonville most of the time, and I go drag racing at Cayuga and St. Thomas occassionally. I'm telling you, once you go track, you don't go back! lol

btw, don't you mean either an B16A head or a B18C5 head cause they're pretty much the same.

Ya you always lose out on the straight aways, but with a good driver, you can compete very well on the turns.

The Nelson track at Shaonnonville is very good for slower cars, cause there's not much of a straightaway, my friend's stock automatic 4 door civic did very well against a lot of modified cars one day.
