APRboy is on a distinguished road
225s are about the widest you can go. And that's with wheel spacers. Falcon will be running 225/40/18s with wheel spacers for the rear or else the tires will rub on the inside. Up front, 7th gens have no problems running 225s. It's the rear you have to be careful with. I can get 225/40/18 Yokohoma Paradas for $235 per tire. Or Kumhos for under $200 i believe.

i had a close call a couple weeks ago. anyways, i had to break hard but the car just kept sliding forward for about 2 car lengths on dry pavement.

225?? That's still too wide. If you're getting 18x7 the face of the rims will be burried inside the tread. Although it's dangerous when near curbs rims that stick out a bit can be seen from straight ahead as well as the sides especially when they are CHROME.

215/35/18 is what I would buy and the correct size for 2002 Civics. 215/40/18 will also fit.
