My car got broken into

I am so pissed. I was downtown in the Bathurst and Gerrard area and parked in the street. I returned to my car to find that I had a parking ticket and a missing driver's side window. They took 2 walkie talkies and in the process took out the whole damn windown and scratched up the inside of the door real nice. I had to drive home without a window and there is glass everywhere. So fuc*king pissed right now! This on the night before I'm suppose to drive out of town on a trip up north.

actually i did call the cops and they said that since i did not witness the break in i had to wait until 730am to report it, and that it would be done over the phone.

thanks everyone for your kind words....yeah, i had the window fixed quick time and im off on my trip....im not gonna bother going through insurance since it didnt cost all that much, and yes i did have an alarm. i kinda think having a blinking blue light in the car attracts more theives than it deters though...whatever. its done and i vow to never park my car downtown again....or at least not on one of the side streets. becareful everyone, i guess no one is safe, not even during the holidays....

Sorry to hear that. I had the exact same incident happen less than a month ago.

Good luck finding a window for it.. it's going to be rough. You might want to consider insurance option.. MSRP for 01+Up Civic's side window is $899.99 plus taxes!! That's what dealerships charge.. most shops will do it for $400-$500...

I grabbed the last one in Ontario, and it was $175 from a junkyard.

My advice--pull insurance scam. It'll be worth it....

i actually got the window from apple auto glass....im happy with the job they did, 300.00 including labour, actual honda oem window and they came to my house and picked it up and dropped it off in the span of an hour and a half. more than enough time to have my car ready for the trip.

saint, i have an alpine alarm. one of their newer ones.

the trip was great, really got my mind off the incident...good ol'
