how loud is your Civic LX or Si STOCK?

thats right guys, ive had my car for over 4 months now and i now have almost 14,000kms on it... hwy of course!
now i dont know whats up with my car, but it seems a bit quicker, and it is way loud, when i rev the motor.
its not like when u first drive it off the line from your HONDA dealership, my car seems to have picken up the pace a bit.
have any of u noticed it on yours???
my car is bone stock no engine mods NOTHING besides my coilovers.
and oh yeah my civic takes a GREAT BEATING...... and when i beat it... i beat it... i want to get all the 115HP i can get out of my D17 engine

u guy shave that?? or u guys running quiet little GAS SAVING engines?
i get about 400kms-450 to a tank (city) and hwy was recorded this weekend for 550kms not bad.

135db's... used to run up to 151.8 .. interior noise now is very minimal.. can't hear the exhaust anymore..just minor engine sound when revving above 3500 or accelating hard...some win noise but far far less than stock
in 1st gear, flooring usually gets the car going really loud, but any other gears it doesnt go much faster flooring or tapping on the pedals.
automatic, the gear ratios waaaaaay too tall.
is there a way to deaden the sound coming from the engine? those fatmats should work, right?

yeah..and the crazy extensive sound deadening work I did...when I had the EVO-R subs in the trunk wall I cranked a 151.8 on a Linear X jr mic...and 154.1 on a shops mic (had to be off for sure)...now..I can crank out about 135...
With my system off my cars quieter than my uncles Lexus 400ES on the road

$180 for imitation CAI, $110 for shift ****, $90 for SS adapter...free hacksaw DIY shortshifter...
Rest of the system retails for over $3000 canadian..but paid a bit less
It's not crazy... a molded painted bodykit, 18" rims Altezza's Projectors, a CF hood would run about as much as I paid for my entire system and be much less useful

I was considering it...but I said f**k dat...I'm gonna change cars in 2 years so why bother...I'll just buy a project Corolla GT-S or SRS (1986 hatch) and get a 4age RWD Silvertop for it.. $3500 for car and swap....then keep building that while I use the S10 I'm getting as adaily driver/trailer puller

yup...uses B16 mounting kit and alittle welding and it shoe horns right in.....wiring is the only tricky part..but at Laminar in Montreal they can swap an actual horse into a Civic hatch and make it look easy....
