Any ideas on what prices would be if I got all sides done?
If i go darker shades is it more expensive?

i've heard good things about fx auto from members on the board. that's probably where i'm taking my sedan to get it done. if i remember correctly, other members got quoted 230-250 for the job. if i'm not wrong, shade of tint doesn't affect the price. of course if you want the silver tint that fades to grey, i'm assuming that'll be more. maybe we should get it done together to try and get a better deal! If you do not mind driving to Hamilton, I know a **MINT** place.. and I mean mint, since we personally have gone back there 10 times to get 10 cars done. I always recommand this place to everyone.

He does OEM work for Volkswagon & Nissan... he has lots of tint selections, and is very talented. Almost zero edges, and no bubbles... mine has been bubble free for 2 years. Our cars in the past have been bubble free for god knowns when.. anyway, it should run you around $180-$200 or so. Not the cheapest, but hey, you pay for top quality.

If you guys are serious, let me know.. I'm going to make another appointment with him for my new passenger side window. I'll ask him for you.. he knows my brother well, because we gave him a ton of referrals and he gave them good deals..
BTW... for a beige sedan, he has a wicked bronze tint. We did that for our Toyota Previa minivan because it had factory bronze smoked tint in the back. It is totally complete now.. you can't tell which is OEM anymore

Hey 01Coupe.
Can you get me a quote on how much it would cost me for a sedan, regular grey, metalized tint, with the rear window fully tinted (ie brake light tinted as well), and with invisible seems?
Thanks, greatly appreciated!!

The bronze sounds cool. Is it a light shade? or more of a darker one?
If you guys are thinking about calling the guy yourself, just tell them you spoke with "Alex".. that's my brother, and he knows Bruce well. He's given them many referrals in the past, so he should give you a nice quote! Make sure you mention about the rear centre brake light.. you have to specify whether you want it covered (looks way better, but illegal & more work), or cut around it (looks odd with small piece missing, but legal & less work). I'd go with the covered.. just cause it's cheezy with that one part cut out.
I had my car tinted by FX Auto this past summer under favorable reviews from this board. Used 35% metallic.
Unfortunately all was not smooth. There were some areas where prominent bubbles were left and on one part of the rear window, the tinters left the backing on so that it wasn't sticky. A quick fix was done by using a black marker to cover it up.
They offered to redo the rear window for me after some complaining, but they'd have to remove the rear deck to remove the tint already there (since they covered the third brake light).
The other air pockets are vanished now, but it took several months afterwards before they went away.
