It has to be amber to be legal or else try not to signal when you're next to a cop

The yellowish bulb is legal. What is illegal is the lack of an amber reflector in the front. The amber lens you removed originally covered the reflector but now the reflector is white.

you don't need to take the bumper off to change the signal bulbs. read your civic manual. it gives directions (thru the wheel well).

I had PIAA bulbs in my cleared headlites but condensation started up and they blew...got sick of the condensation and bought projectors headlights. Live and learn.

you should have bought the bulbs before you cleared your headlights......that way it would have been easier to switch them when the assembly was in your hand...

I think what boo meant about having babies on his headlights is when it's about to blow on you, it starts bubbling up. I saw that on my blown headlight and I was like WTF??? It's got a tumour... then I was like... It's not a tumour!!

Your answer plus a bit of extra info:

Night driving/front lamp configuration - HTA Section 62 (1)

When on a highway at any time from one-half hour before sunset to one-half hour after sunrise and at any other time when, due to insufficient light or unfavourable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of 150 metres or less, every motor vehicle other than a motorcycle shall carry three lighted lamps in a conspicuous position, one on each side of the front of the vehicle which shall display a white or amber light only, and one on the rear of the vehicle which shall display a red light only

Smoking/Tinting/Colouring lenses - HTA Section 62 (7)

No person shall drive upon a highway a motor vehicle where either or both of the lamps that are required on the front of the vehicle by subsections (1), (2) and (3) are coated or covered with a coloured material or lacquer or where either or both of the lamps have been modified by the attachment to the lamps or the motor vehicle of any device that reduces the effective area of the lenses or the intensity of the beam of the lamps.

Strength of Front Lamps - HTA Section 62 (9)

No motor vehicle shall carry on the front thereof more than four lighted lamps that project a beam having an intensity of over 300 candela.

Rear Licence Plate lights - HTA Section 62 (19)

The lamp on the rear of a motor vehicle or trailer shall be of at least three candela and shall be so placed that it will, at any time from one-half hour before sunset to one-half hour after sunrise and at any other time when, due to insufficient light or unfavourable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of 150 metres or less, illuminate the numbers on the number plate, or, if provision is made on the number plate or on any attachment furnished or required by the Ministry for affixing the lamp, it shall be affixed in the position or space provided, and the lamp shall face to the rear and reflect on the number plate a white light only.

Flashing blue lights (i.e Turn signal) - HTA Section 62 (32)

No person shall operate a lamp that produces intermittent flashes of blue light on a highway except in the circumstances described in subsection (31). 1996, c. 33, s. 11. (Section 31 applies to snow removal vehicles. Minimum fine for all others will be $200 to a maximum of $20,000.

In Summary: You can have only white or amber in the front of the car and red only in the back (white is illegal except for reverse lights).

PLUS: Not signalling when there is a cop around is a big no-no.

HTA Section 142 (1) The driver or operator of a vehicle upon a highway before turning to the left or right at any intersection or into a private road or driveway or from one lane for traffic to another lane for traffic or to leave the roadway shall first see that the movement can be made in safety, and if the operation of any other vehicle may be affected by the movement shall give a signal plainly visible to the driver or operator of the other vehicle of the intention to make the movement.

....if you're not gonna use the car's turn signal, use a manual signal (hand/arm signal outside your window visible to other drivers.
