Rep Power: 0 I wish the cops WOULD give tickets to some a$$holes who drive around with **LOUD** exhaust systems... including Harley riders. They fu*king wake me up every night, at 2:30am, and it's really pi$$ing me off. They need a noise metre or something, and if it's too loud, that $hit should be towed straight to the impound. Driving a loud car at a low RPM in a downtown environment is fine, but ripping through residental areas in 2nd gear is unacceptable.
Personally, I'm all for this new police mission. I swear, everyday I see some idiot driving like a maniac--in rush traffic jam! The road is jammed, and there is a car just 1 metre in front of them, yet they keep on insisting to pound on the gas, and then brake hard to stop. WTF??? Is that supposed to convince the rest of us that your car is SOOO powerful that you can barely contain it?? More like you don't know how to modulate your accelerator, you dip$hit! People in V8 Corvettes drive more gentle than you in your little rice cooker.
There are even more stupid and irresponsible things people do, like arrupt lane changes (straight out of Fast & Furious) and no signal lane chances... all I can say to that is... pretty.. fu*king.. bold. Until you side swipe another car because you didn't check your blinde spot properly. And don't get me started on tailgating....
Now, I can see how this law is going to affect the rest of us. No doubt they will target EVERYONE, who has stickers, rims, altezzas, blue bults, spoiler, etc etc... and everyone, myself included, will be mad as hell when I get pulled over for doing NOTHING. But the again, super duper dark tints are indeed dangerous. So is slamming the car so much that your tires rub against your fender. So are *some* altezzas, who's turning signal is so faiint, you might as well not use it. I think if they educate the police well enough before they start pulling people over, it would actually work and make the road a lot safer. But hating on import drivers in general is totally wrong.
But then again, if it wasn't for the a$$holes who decided to get caught racing on Highway 7 doing 180km/h......... we wouldn't be facing this problem in the first place.

they dont care. as long as they hand u a ticket they believe they did the right thing and u go down as statistic. the only way to combat it is by not being at the streeet races and drive like a normal person and u should be alright

Well I don't think the fines are set for a profit business.. it is just a method of punishment, to teach you not to do it again.. it's really for YOUR protection [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG] It costs the government to have police officers in the first place... so of course, court trials will cost money too. But if it means keeping a 16 year old kid from doing 240km/h in his RSX, that's cool by me!

coolgirl: but the cops are target at any car that is soup up (appearance) even you have a blue licence plate cover or altezza lights, if the cop is in cranky mood they will pull you over no matter how slow/normal you drive. i couldnt believe the blue licence plate cover was illegal. that is stupid.

cops are blind...i can clearly see my plate # thru the blue cover in a distance no problem....they just have nothing to do

Rep Power: 0 there was a meet there... a lot of souped up cars were there.. then police came and blocked out the entrance.. some car's lucky.. got away.. but some arnt.. police checked every mod they have and the ticket amount juss keeps addin up!
