Anyone in Canada work at Honda?

I'm trying to buy EL sides from a website (Acura Woodbine) that has them listed at $184. I call them up and they want $285. Sounds fishy to me. I can repaint so any of the following part numbers work:

EL 2005 08F04-S5N-420A Side skirt Satin Silver NH623M $746.51 $184.00
EL 2005 08F04-S5N-440A Side skirt Aspen White NH677P $746.51 $184.00
EL 2005 08F04-S5N-450A Side skirt Nighthawk Black B92P $746.51 $184.00
EL 2005 08F04-S5N-460A Side skirt Fiji Blue B529P $746.51 $184.00

Link to the sale: http://www.acurawoodbine.com/seasonal06/

I appreciate anyone who can help.

Dallis

Re: Anyone in Canada work at Honda?

Solved thanks to 1sykcivic. My EL sides get picked up today! Hard to beat new for about $160 US dollars. Now I just gotta repaint em!

Turned out they had ONE set of silver sides left. I'm working out the details with 1sykcivic and he's shipping them....

I dont really want to go through another member in canada.

So there is no way you could get the dealer ship to ship to the states?

Re: Anyone in Canada work at Honda?

I'm not sure you'll find another set.....

I asked a buddy at Tempe Honda and he would have had to mark it up more. In the end, with kicking him some cash too I paid about $200.

Re: Anyone in Canada work at Honda?

I don’t think that’s that bad at all.

Id drop $200 for some EL sides delivered to my door.

When I called bell Honda about this, and the guy only wanted to know "why I wanted Canadian Acura parts for my Honda."

He said there isn’t any way for me to order them...

Re: Anyone in Canada work at Honda?

Ya the part numbers don't even cross reference. My guy said he'd basically write a check to them. In essense it's cheaper to just order them yourself as the local Honda would be required to mark them up again.

Re: Anyone in Canada work at Honda?

So you think Tempe Honda could order me a pair?

Or would it just be easier to drive to Canada?

Re: Anyone in Canada work at Honda?

Tempe cannot as you'd first have to locate a dealership in Canada with them. You can't use Woodbine Acura as I just bought the last set they had.
