so you need stickers on your cars to be part of a team? And having people telling others how not to drive is fun? You cant have it both ways. If I had to chose between being part of a team where all members drive the exact same way or having fun and driving the way I feel comfortable and participating in other activities, I'd chose option #2. I dont have a problem toward the team or any of its members, but I will not represent a team that dictates the way I drive or what I do on my spare time.

Look MIR i totally see what your saying.. but you have to find a balance in everything... we cant be dictators...we can have rules.. but we cant ENFORCE it on anyone...thats what makes us all diferrent...we will just have to leave it to the indiviual to hold account for his actions...
and i'll have to admit... if Pharoh was street Racing with his BLUE vic and decals or even Transformer Guy with his blue vic and decals and I get any hassle for it... trust me I will take action on this...not just for me.. this goes for other members as well...
or if I hear some things through the grape vine about Gen 7 not having a good rep.. i will take matters seriously...

ok i am not trying to make anything a dictatorship or enforce anything so i guess i am not being very clear, all i want to achieve is that anyone who does not represent our team in a responsible fashion should not have stickers clearly visible with our team name, and i think this is a reasonable thing which many of you have indeed made clear is a wise thing to try to ensure... it was a mistake to post this thread because all it did was cause trouble, from now on I will only discuss matters with reps and not post concerns publicly...

Alpy - you can disicpline me anytime
MIR - its better that you discuss your concerns publicly so that you and the other reps can get feedback from the rest of the members on this board. Like you said, this is a team, and teams work together to solve problems

Just to clerify some things: I am not talking only about the Ottawa guys. I am also not in anyway going to say who I am talking about with the whole drink, smoke race comment either. I will say that it is not Telly that I am refering to. There is no need to point fingers here. Also I will guarantee that there is spelling mistakes in my post, I don't need that pointed out
I would also like to say thank you to MIR who is being a great team member and pointing out something she felt should be dealt with. Last edited by Tofast4me; Feb 8, 2005 at 10:08 AM.

Hey I'm no angel either, but I don't drive like a maniac cause I don't want one of YOU being pulled over because I was weaving in and out of traffic. I agree that by rights none of us should be wearing team logos cause we're all NORMAL DRIVERS and NORMAL drivers do speed and do turn up the music, banner or no banner. But I think we should all be extra careful about where we turn it up, cause since those damned movies came out the public eye has been on people like us, with the louder exhausts and bigger rims. We don't need banners to be associated with "street racer", let's leave that to those ricers with the "HONDA RACING" banners, lol.
It was good to hear (read) everyone's opinions on this deal. And yes, props to MIR for voicing a valid concern. No need for feelings to get hurt and I hope no one's did.

i think this is more a case to do with our recruiting process...we are letting any one sign up for the team and then finding out that they are either great members, inactive, reckless, parasitic, or whatever. i think that if we are serious about this team we need to take it another level and revaluate how we choose our members and what it takes to be apart of the team...
in all honesty what we have isnt a team...its a club....its a smaller condensed version of the 7thgen website....a club within a club. and so long as we run it like that conflicts about rules and politics etc will continue to surface over and over....i wanna be clear about this, but if it takes nothing to join, and nothing to stay in....why would any body wanna follow our rules....common sense and decency are not going to work....its just a fact of life. think about it, all we do is fill out a profile and we're registered under 7thgen.com if we get caught speeding with a sticker of the site does derek care? im sure a lot of people, once we start policing them feel the same way.
now its different for those of us we actively participate on the team...who have come to be attached to the team and its members. i know i have invested a lot of my time and energy and met some really great people and i care what happens to everyone. but if you're never there...hence, not really a member to begin with...why would you care? we have no devotion and no loyalty from our members....i dont care if this alienates me but frankly im sick and tired of it.....we dont need people like this on the team....we dont need people who dont want to show us any loyalty.....frankly this is also a reason i am losing interest in being a rep for a bunch of people that dont even make an effort
i think we have to change the process, head to toe, those who are committed and have same ideas and goals of what it is to be apart of the team should stay...the rest are of no benefit to the collective at all...dead weight. we can keep dancing around the point but the fact is WE are wrong.....and now we have to change. maybe even start over....
