who went to work today???
i went.... i think this place is gonna be even more empty than it already is....
it only took me 20 mins to get to work.... one of the benefits on living 10 mins away....
one thing i realized is how good our cars are for driving in snow if you have winter tires....

i'm at work. the snow wad ridiculous, my civic made it about 10 feet out of my parking space before i had to start switching between reverse and drive, i found my best method to be turning the steering wheel though and using the 2nd gear thing on the automatic. no one came to work really, only have to work 4 hrs though. then i get to drive further down south in indiana, which could end up getting me stuck, they say they have close to 2 feet there.

I live in Scarborough and work downtown. I made it in to work this morning, just 20 minutes later than usual. Pretty well all of the streets were unplowed and rather crappy, but even with my stock Firestones I still made it in okay without getting stuck or sliding.

i went to work and i really, really, regret it.
first, getting out of my driveway was 1.5 hr of snow shovelling then right after that i rushed off to work only to find out that the parking lot there was unplowed and had about 10" of snow. to make things worse it's a BIG parking lot and a lot of people showed up for work. my car became a snow plow while i looked for a parking. later that evening, while on my lunch break, i come out only to find that the soft snow/slush i had parked in had hardened. to make that worse the plow had come along and made pathways but the snow it had moved had created a 1 ft wall in front of my car.
