new owner ***ked from behind
New to this forum from mississauga...Anyhow heres my comment 2005 se sedan 200km on odometer.Rear ended on the way home in the morning ,in the snow last Monday.Isn't life grand new civic owner for 4 days..Had a big laugh when Honda called to ask how the car was performing....I told them it gets great mileage in the body shop.Seriously not much damage, minor scratches but its brand new...I can still here the women's comments when she hit me "I have ABS and 4 wheel drive"..It was a very large chev truck no damage go figure...My thoughts abs ,4 wheel drive tank..The husband of the women was smart he put here in the biggest vehicle possible so she wouldn't hurt herself or the 18 month old in the truck with her..Man she couldn't drive worth sh**.Its been 5 days and the camry they gave me for a rental is nice but I miss my civic, maybe I'll get it back soon..End of rant

that does really suck! Welcome to the forums though! But hey you always gotta remember that cars can be fixed but bodies can't so just be happy you weren't hurt! But it sure does wreck the excitement of having a brand new car! Hope everything works out!

4wheel drive doesn't help you stop? ABS makes you slow down slowwer than if you keep the tire from locking up, but keep control... she needs to go back to driving school.
I can top that one though. If notice in my avatar I have a black car. I orginally bought a silver civic. When I went to go pick it up they said that the silver car was in for repair. I asked why and apperently the guy that took the car to fill the gas tank up (because Honda give you 1.7 Liters of gas, so the dealer filled the car up for me) backed into a poll hard enough to knock the rear bumper right off the car. I said - I'll take the black one instead.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck
haha like Jrfish007 pointed out "i have 4 wheel drive" lol
ppl need to understand the purpose of functions such as 4 wheel drive before they say sthg that stupid
Ya notice how many cars have dents in them since monday? im hoping to get through this winter dentless but its dependent on all the stupid drivers out there, which really sucks

Accidents suck. Sorry to hear yor temp loss.
4wd = more weight = longer stopping distance
5 spd = shorter stoping distance
5 spd + 2wd = shortest stoping distance possible
You have to agree.

Well thanks for the welcome...Wish I could've got the 5 speed but the wife doesn't drive standard. All the married guys out there know its impossible to teach your wife to drive stick...easy grounds for divorce.I gave up and went auto
...On a happy note the car should be ready monday.
...On a happy note the car should be ready monday. Make sure that your first couple mods are for winterizing the car... Otherwise you may end up at the body shop again
- Better windshield washer fluid
- Better wipers (I like those Winter Teflon ones from Crappy Tire, the metal covered with rubber)
- Winter rims + rubber. (No matter what you say about no snow/ice in your area, or how little, the stock rubber absolutely sucks.)
- RainX on all the windows; helps with ice, dirt, and water... Gives better visibility
Good luck with the repairs. Did you end up going through insurance, or no?
