my goal is 9PSI daily...I did a search and you said that with the e-Manage, you could run 11PSI daily.
I am getting a
- T3 or T3/04 turbo
- e-Manage
- FMIC
- equal length manifold
- wastegate
- BOV
- RSX injectors
From the research I've done, I won't need a fuel pump, upgraded internals, or standalone for 9PSI daily.
I'd love your imput, don't think I'm second guessing you. ITs just that so many people have figured out the e-Manage on our cars, maybe when you turbo'd it was still uncharted waters?

I have also heard that the instructions GReddy provided with the systems were backwards......
you know I respect what you think Jayson, keep giving me some input. How much could you hook me up with a ceramic coating for my manifold, I want it to look bling bling

I'm learning lots about turboing the D17 myself and I know that there are probably lots of beginners in the same position as I.
I know there are a few guys in the CanEast forum that has expressed interest in boosting their cars and I just want to ask:
- What set up are you considering?
- Installing yourself?
I want to keep this thread on topic since I feel that it would benefit alot the Canadian members on here.
I'll start it off by explaining what my setup will consist of, then going from there.
My setup:
- Equal length manifold
- polished front mount intercooler
- TurboXS blow off valve
- TurboXS single boost controller
- RSX injectors (still deciding between the stock and RC ones)
- GReddy emanage with attachments (I have the SAFC but I'll probably get rid of it)
- GReddy oil catch can
- T3 or T3/04 turbo
- IC piping, fittings, vaccuum lines

Also, after reading some guys negative opinion on instalation of TSI, the guys say they are happy after all installation nightmare falls.
So, I'm prepared to hasslee with install, but I should get ~165 whp for $3500 CDN installed with aftermarket catback (I dont know about my clutch thou).
165 whp.. is possible with 7-8 psi of boost.. however get extra $$$ ready for an e-manage,injectors,and spark plugs... with all the harnesses.. your looking at 1000 extra./... and after that tunning.. another 400.. then ull get 165 hp.. and ALOT of tq

You can get this kit with t-25 BB for $2600 US. Translate this into CDN $
and it is under $3200k cdn, with cat back - under $4k cdn, also clutch if needed - will cost another ~$600 installed.
That is how I think. As far as the numbers it looks to me fine.

165whp out of an engine that puts down around 100whp stock...
$4000 isn't bad. But to be honest...i think it will be more than $4000 after all is said and done.
add to that total maintenance costs:
- synthetic oil changes
- 94 octane gas
- octane booster
JDM k20a motor swap is $12000 for 200whp stock
u gotta pay to play.

I'd definately rather do a K20a...but cost is a huge issue as well as removability.
I don't plan on driving the 7thgen forever, so I want something that I can get money for.
