Where to get shocks?
Anyone know where to get shocks locally? Im in toronto
Looking for a place to get tokico shocks for a 2 inch drop. I wanna know what im looking at for price so i can save up for them. So if i put some money aside every paycheque, i can get them for spring and be dropped without avoiding every pebble on the roads.
Thanks in advance

im dropping my car after winter, dropping before winter is just plain dumb... have some confidence in us, exclusive!haha
Car parts are cheapest in winter, so im gonna start finding out soon what price we can get. Then if we buy in winter at cheap prices, we have the parts ready for when winter ends!

For me it doesn't matter when I purchase them, I'll just keep them until I need to replace my stock shocks (prolly soon). I'd want one set for a 2001 4 door LX and a set for a 2001 Si coupe.

im dropping mine tomorrow night, only 1.5" and it'll be year round neway, our winters aren't too bad. Also, 2" drop w/ Tokicos might not be a good idea, I just skimmed over the instructions and they only reccomend 1" to 1 and 3/4" (warranty void if over 1 & 3/4") btw I paid $320 shipped for my Tokico blues off ebay..
^^ hope this helps ya..

Damn...
Yo let my friend do the calling, he may be able to get a wholesale price because hes a registered company. Thats what he did for magnaflows. When i called, they said 500 per exhaust, when he called, it dropped to 420. So dont call places, let him call. Cuz if you two call the same place by chance, they'll think we're dicking around and wont give a good price.
Dont get me wrong, im sure we all appreciate your efforts, but i think because he has a company of his own, he may be able to work his magic once again.

Are the Tokico's direct replacements that bolt right on? Or, are they the inserts or do they have to be modded in any way? I read in the suspension forum that many brands of shocks for the 7th Gen Civics are inserts or have to be modded to fit. I have an 03 and I'd be in on a group buy as long as they are direct replacments.
I'm car stupid and my front shocks are blow i think. Since i need to replace them i wouldn't mind dropping it at the same time. is this potential group buy have everthing i need to drop my car?

You need the lowering springs as well, but those are the cheaper of the two between shocks and springs. People are frequently selling them on here so thats not a big worry.

Also dont forget the camber kit made by SPC or Ingalls. Not necessary to drop your car but has long term benefits. I recommend getting one shortly after dropping your car if not at the same time.
