Rent for now. Will buy next year.
I'm leaving cause my father, in his infinite wisdom, decided that since I hadn't bought a house yet as of 2 months ago, he would charge me rent for living in his house. Then he decided not to speak to me for 2 months, except to demand that I call one of my car friends to change the timing belt on his car. I'm miserable every time I come home, and I decided I might as well pay another $100 a month and live on my own, with my friend.

Damn man, that's rough...well, that's great that you're taking the initiative to move out and change your situation.
I also understand the "miserable every time you're home" part...everyone in my family are total bitches that say nothing to me and my GF (all living in the same house) except to bitch and complain about stupid little things. And I still have to put up with this crap for another year and a bit before my condo is built...uggg..

I will be having a housewarming once settled in. Since I'm leaving rather abruptly, I won't have much furniture to bring. Hell, I will even need to go buy a bed the day after, ha ha.
