Anyone been in an accident, Really need your help!!!
Just got in an accident, some guy hit me hard in the back at a red light. car is slightly damaged and got a stiff neck and a lil drowsy. the cop gave me the information for all the cars involved. (3 cars, i got hit and pushed me into another car). Anyways the cop just says call your insurance company and they will do some "no fault" crap and my insurance will pay for it and i will have no bad record. What the hell is that? I ain't paying for something that i didn't do, what should i do now? I really don't want to call my insurance, how do i go about getting the other guy to pay for everything? I'd really apprieciate any kind of help from anyone. Thank you

youll probably have to go through insurance, especially if another driver contacts their insurance. if you had neck pain etc, you should have requested a transport via EMS, just to cover yourself later on like if you make a claim. most likely the driver(s) wont pay out of pocket. good luck

I dont think the guy in behind will pay for everything since there was three cars involved thats alot of money, and especially since your hurt i think it would be wiser to go through insurance just in case there are any additional problems.
I was in almosst the exact same situation as you were a couple months ago, got rear ended and pushed into another car. My car was actually pretty messed up and written off but I didnt sue or anything but let me tell you, the insurance company gave me so much crap untill i mentioned that my back was hurting then they're like at your beck and call its crazy.
Oh yah just wondering were you stopped at a standstill? cause if you werent even moving just a little bit hitting the guy infront would be your fault. So if you were stopped the guy at the back should be at fault for everything if you were moving then you would be responsible for the guy infront and depending on the damage i would suggest settling it privately so your premiums wont go up and then going through the insurance with the guy in the back. And im 100 percent sure your aloud to do this, that is go through insurance with one guy and settling privately with another.

Well from what i think happened was that there are cars parked on the side so the guy behind me that hit me was in that ending lane so when i passed him and he was trying to squeeze in after me the traffic was stopping and i was at a near stop, plenty of room infront of me and as he was looking at his blindspot and going forward to squeeze in he didn't realize the traffic was stopped and hit me.

if you have all two numbers of the other vehicle.. see whta they want to do.
even if you report it to the reporting center... thats just for accidents. but see if that one driver will settle for both of the damaged vehicles..
you can try that first... otherwise... you would most likely go through insurance.. and if one of them already called their insurance.
and watch out for your insurance company... be careful of whta you say.. it may back fire... and they can use it against you and can raise your premiums. i've been through it.. those f u c k ing ******..
ex. you're not an everyday driver... if they think you are.. then they will raise it... and the amount of km's you drive per day.
they had an article in the toronto sun about two weeks ago.. about a girl.. who moved out of the way to avoid hitting a moose, .... the moose survived.. but she crashed.
the insurance ended up raising her rates b/c they claimed she was a primary driver... and also... b/c she moved to avoid the moose, it was her fault for the damages..........
and i was like..... wtf, fu ck ing insurance are fu ck ing gay...
edit: my experience is with my old insurer.. im cool with my current one..
but ya.. her rates would of gone up from 1700 to 7000!!! her dad couldnt afford that so i guess they put it in the toronto sun.. two weeks later.. they didnt end up raising her rates..
so if anything like that happens.. report it to city tv.. and they may do a special on you.. haha..
hmm,m thats all i can think of at the moment.. if anything, i'll post it later.

your insurance will pay for your car
the insurance company that insured the guy who hit your car will pay for his car damage
the car in front of you is the same thing
and even it is no fault but you claimed money from your insurance company, expect to pay a bit more next year when you renew it
they will make up excuses if they jacked up the premium because of the accident

the color is peeling off. blah... i need a whole new paint job. but ill drive around with it.
and insurance does go up just a little bit .. cuz u did claim it even though they say ur not at fault... but the good thing is that u dont have to pay for the deductible.
