Rep Power: 0 Re-painting my Civic, Help!
Hey everyone, I recently got a 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe since it was a good price with decent mileage. However, the problem is that it is the what I call "Default Honda Green" color. The dark green that you see pretty much everywhere, at least I do. Anyway, my question is, I really want to change the color to either black or gunmetal grey, where in NYC or Binghamton area (I travel frequently between the 2 cities) can I get it done well for as low as possible? I've done my fair share of googling and most people say at Maaco for $200-500 but its a crap job and paint starts to chip.
Anyone have any good suggestions? I'd try to do it myself but don't know the first thing to painting a car.

Don't go to Maaco and save your money. Painting is not something you can do on your driveway. If you don't have the right tools and experience, do not try to do it.
Save a few or more thousands to get you a decent paint job.
