6 liter against 1.6 liter race

Ok, I finally got my self to wash my 2001 Civic cuz it was dirty from the rain 2 weeks ago(i live in AZ). Just as i'm finishing I hear a loud hollow rumble of a muscle car, I look up and my bros friends just came over. The owner says asked me if my bro is home cuz he wants to race him. His 350 cubic inch El Camino with exhaust new performance carburetors and a intake manifold against my bros 1988 JDM B16 CRX with a clutch, DC header, 2.5 Thermal exhaust, and intake. I jump in my Civic so I can see what happens and look out for my bro. I had a hard time keeping up with them, but then they let me go first and we line up on a 3 line red light. My bro revved a little and it was a perfect spot so its on, I just sit back and watch for cops I wasn't going to race cuz well there is no reason to. As soon as the light turns green they both go at the same time. At the top of first gear my bro already pulled a car length on them missed 2nd gear quickly recovered and in 3rd gear shifted at 7k cuz he kept the car distance he gained in 1st gear. As soon as it was over we turned back and the El Camino went the other way. Went home looked over the car let it cool a little. It was fun but nothing like being inside the car. Looks like his acclaimed 430 foot pounds of torque didn’t help him this time.

Meh, El Camino's have the weight distribution of a truck. You probably forgot to mention that the El Camino sat there and spun the tires

Nothing like that i didnt hear any spinning from eather of them, and i was right next to him. If you never drove in a light car lika CRX with the power to waight ratio twice as good as the 2001 Civic you would know. If I wasn't impresed by his car i wouldn't be buying a b18c my self would I?

What kinda engine he have in the Camino? Stock with just an exhaust and carbs? he have heads?? If it was a stock el camino engine with just that stuff, then ueah, i beleive ya, but if he had heads and stuff, and some major work (which I doubt, cause you would have mentioned it) then I wouldn't beleive ya

Funny i though i mentioned it was 350 cubic inch. Also those cars are so old they rearly come with the stock engine. I guess it didn't have head cuz he didn't mention them, what he had i listed above.
