Depending on what kind of mustang. A 6 cylinder convertible is not a fast car at all, it is quite heavy, and an auto, even slower. 99- on 6 cyls have a 190 hp 3.8 liter engine. I believe you can kick a v6 convertible´s ***.
A GT mustang on the other hand... 260 hp 4.6 liter, even a convertible is quite fast. There´s no way a civic could beat a GT mustang unless its driven by and old lady or you are driving with your girlfriend and she starts yelling at you to slow down.

Rep Power: 0 it is obvious weight and gear ratio don't do a damn thing in the case of this guy going against the gt because our civic wouldn't stand a chance plain and simple. in a lot of other cases though, weight and gear ratio are very important in racing. "go back to school" hmmmmm...

Rep Power: 0 first off...its not all about the HP......the gearing of any Mustang is better than any Civic....especially the new Mustangs....they all have larger gears to perform better in 0-60 times...and as for a GT auto being slow...mid 14s with an auto...not to bad....my friend with a V6 Mustang took out 7thgen civics that were manuel by like 4+ car lengths....and no it wasnt cause of the bad driver....it was just reality peeps...and if any of u are in southern cali im sure my friend wouldnt mind racing his V6 Auto against some of u 7thgencivics

We launched and I took him from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd I got caught up in traffic but he was about to blow me away anyway. My point is that we did take the GT in 1st and 2nd, [IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG] for us!!! Good job man..
