Whatever floats your boat, but I don't see why you would sacrifice a Honda for a Ford...

Wow we really have some open minded people on this forum? Ever think that any of you have become brand loyal? Probably not. Anyway, congratulations JHonda on getting a car that has performance to start with. I hope all goes well with it and I urge you to come back and tell us about your experience with it.

What is wrong with brand loyalty? Just because someone will only buy a perticular brand doesn't make that a bad choice. A lot of the people who have said they don't think he should get a Ford is based from bad experience, hearing people complain about them, or that they think the Focus is ugly. Being open-minded does not relate to buying such an important and expensive thing as a car.

Jhonda has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Yea I might I might spend more on gas but I will also have about 150hp and 137tq at the wheels to start with that was my goal for my civic but never reached it all I have left is to build the bottom end and that should work good with the GUDE head because I think it flows to much for the 1.7l output. Who ever buys my car and does this will be impressed, but for now all I have is top end but lots of it, the Focus SVT has all this and more.

Well you start thinking only one way. You think that Honda is the end all be all automaker and that no other can come close. While Hondas are reliable, some other people may want to sacrifice a little of that(or more) to be able to have a car within the same price range, but has way more performance. The SVT Focus is on a limited production so maybe there won't be as manly recalls and problems. All I'm saying is to give the car a chance.

well, let's put it this way, if he has to buy the focus, at least he's buying the best one out.

Speaking of the Focus, I was driving on one of the many main roads in the city and this ZX3 and 99 Civic SI start flooring it, I am about a half a car lengths behind on the Focus and a car length behind the SI, I gun it and by the end of 3rd gear, I am two car lengths on the Focus and a car length on the SI.
