Chevy Cavaliers (they don't pay up)

So there I was chillin out on a country road with 2 other 99 civic si's and a pretty pimped out probe gt. We were all talking about getting a little street race going when 2 cavaliers come racing down the road we all started to laugh. They pulled up next to us one was a Z24 nice bodykit.rims and exhaust and the other was a stock piece of crap. The z24 asked if we wanted to race for 50$ and friend says make it 100$ and we got a deal. I signaled them to go( we all know who is going to win the si of course) and the si ripp's him a new butt and we start laughing but the worst part is that the kid who got beat took off and didn't pay, I guess that Mcdonalds doesn't pay good enough.

there would have been a beat down in order. U know whats up though...If you see the guy again pull up next to him and tell him double or nothin' and see what he does. Only this time let him know that if he doesn't pay then expect it to come out of his azz.

I have raced 2 since I have had my car, and I have beat both of them; so yes. I am stock and the both of them had exhaust but I think that is it. It might be the driver also, they were some young kids (teens)????

the z24 cavalier would beat the **** out of a 7th gen. I know. My friend has one. The stock non-z24 is slower. and the z24 is the one with 150hp 2.4L. the stock cavalier has a 120hp.

I guess that is the ones that I raced then. I really didn't even look at them. I have raced a LT1 camero, and pulled the heck out of him....for about 10 feet!!! LOL

car comparison:: heres a car review from edmunds, out of nine cars the 6th gen civic got 8th, and if u go to the performance link at the right, the cavalier had the best 0-60 and quarter mile times out of all 10 cars.
american cars tend to have larger engines: ( mustang GT w/ 4.6 liter engine= 260 hp) (s2000 w/ 2.0 liter engine = 240hp), yes i kno the mustang whips the s200 in torque but their weights balance that out, but this just shows how american cars have larger engines without the proportional amount of power.

It looks like they are using the DX or something. It has the car (ours) at only 106hp. It was also the 2000 models....

My mom is crazy. We (my dad and I) had been looking at $35,000+ SUVs for her. But when we went to the Chevy dealer, all we heard was "This is cute, I'll take it in red." And somehow, my mom became the owner of a Z24. I dislike Chevys, but I'll admit that car has some good pickup. Still don't like Chevys...

Yes, but a Mustang is cheaper (less engineering required) and you don't have to drive like you stole it to make power. You can confidently pass cars without having to downshift and your engine screaming.

Funny that the cavalier was automatic while several of the other cars were manual.
