02CarbonCivic: I live in Dallas and have seen lots of Civics--and other small cars--pulling jet skis...a guy I've seen a lot around Lake Ray Hubbard (NE of Dallas) has a 1st gen Civic hatch to pull his Sea Doo...I swear that Sea Doo is longer than the poor little hatch Apparently, he has no problems.

Yeah I talked to honda awhile back and they say if you want your warranty on your car better not put a hitch on it but if it doesn't bother you then I say

Why not just get an offset ball mount for the truck?

http://www.draw-tite.com/

Even if nobody carried one that had enough offset, I'm sure the trailer hitch place could fabricate one.
