i was leaving the after prom party the other nite and my buddy is there. he wanted a race. i hesitated becuase i didnt want to street race anymore but i had to see what this puppy is capable of. so we raced. first gear we were neck and neck, shift into second and i immediately gain a half a car, after that it was all over for him. this doesnt mean our cars are faster. I have a EX coupe and track experience. there are many variables that come into play but i think if i were to run each car at the track, i would definitely get better results with the civic. the mid range power is pretty good compared to older civics. i will take her to the track soon. waitin for my first oil change though. i have 3000 miles on her, does anyone think she is ready for the track? or should i wait for the oil change?

I raced a 98 Integra LS coupe before also, but my ride was LX auto coupe... it was amazing.. i left him..... were were killing it in broad daylight...road conditions was harsh also.. but still i only did it cause he was reving at me, and he cut me off without signaling... so i got pissed (cause had a tough day @ school) so i was hoping he'd turn right at the light.... guess what he did so since i was behind him i took the outside on the turn and burned it!!! WHOOHOO, our cars are not fast but i made him think twice.... i slowed down for him... then when he cut me off... i cut him off again...LOL

hmmm.... I raced a 94 ls and it was all over after the end of first gear. (5spd. vs. 5spd). He did have intake, exhaust and 16" chrome rims. My car was stock back then

Either you guys are some amazing drivers or the people in the Integra couldn't drive @ all. I had a Integra LS before my civic, a 91 in fact, w/ intake and exhaust and I wouldn't kill EX's but I most certainly beat them. Pretty close race but off the line the integra has way more torque power and 2nd just pulls alot harder. The vtec does help on the EX but it doesn't have enough to over take the race. After around 90 or so the integra starts to pull again. Very close race though. I even raced my friend in his sister's 2001 coupe EX and I beat it pretty bad, but that was b/c it was auto. But then again, I never raced a 7th gen EX 5spd before. Mayb it can beat an LS but I hardly doubt it was more than a car length. Good kill anyway silversleeper.

As far as Macko goes, I'm pretty sure that the Integra wasn't racing you.

I had my first ride in my bro's 97 GS-R with intake and headers.... the LS Integras are slow compared to our cars... I drove one myself... and the GS-R...

But now I love the GS-R... those are nice cars... I think that car will give my friend's stock N/A Supra a run for it's money.
