well when u trade it into the dealer u dont have to pay taxes on the new car but u will get less for your car bc of it. but if u sell it to someone u will get more money for the car but u will have to pay taxes on the new car. now if u dont get alot for your car to a person i would sell it to the dealer. but if u find someone to rip off and they give u alot for your car go ahead and sell it to them.

I am definitely getting a white RSX Type R.
It'll take too long to get the motor at a good price... gimme the car.
There were only 2000 Integra Type Rs produced over a 4 year period: 97, 98, 00, 01. No doubt this one will be a limited edition in the states, too.

yea the car is great is handles GREAT and the engine is more than willing to rev i could not be happier with it i am about to get the hks turbo on top of my 50 shot itwill be bad a$$
Personally...
If I was so interested in drag racing, I wouldn't mind the engine alone.
But since I'd rather go around a track than in a straight line, like sadboy619 says, it handles GREAT. Suspension... brakes... limited slip differential contribute to the Type R's overall performance over the Type S and GS-R, and as a new car, it's not a cheap upgrade of course (just like the Type S engine swap of course). I think it's kew that the ITR had some of the best braking power and that also is contributed by it's light weight.

I like the idea of the Type R RSX, but honda probably will never do that (just tease us). Even if they do, i bet it would cost upwards of 27K, (at least). WOuld it be worth it at that price? but that 8500 redline is money!

How we'll get an RSX Type R:
6th Gen Civic: 96, 97, 98, 99, 00
3rd Gen Integra: 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 00, 01
7th Gen Civic: 01, 02
4th Gen Integra (RSX): 02, 03
Notice a pattern? The bold #s are when the high performance models of the cars came out.
For the previous generation of the Civic and Integra, after 3 years of production we got the Civic Si, and the Integra Type R.
This generation we get the new Civic Si in the 7th Gen Civic's 2nd year.
Don't you think the same would be for the RSX?
Besides, Honda will not succeed with their top sport compact cars being the Civic Si and the RSX Type S... especially with the Si. It surprises me to hear that a dealer still holds 5 new Si's. If it was the Integra/Civic Type R, considered those cars consumed by a real Honda enthusiast.
If the RSX Type R makes it here, it'll be $2,000 more than the Type S... at least that's how it was with the last GS-R and the Integra Type R. I expect it to be at $25,000 at the least. For an improved version over the older models, it's worth it... maybe even at $26,000. The Type S starts at $23,500+, which was more than an old Integra Type R! (I guess because from the power #s it looks faster than the Type R... suckas! The ITR will run circles around am RSX Type S!)
The Integra Type R will return... I don't expect us to get a Civic Type R and I wouldn't care if it came... I'd prefer the RSX. Honda would have to cut the Civic Si from the USDM market, and once they do that, no one would ever want an Si if the Type R replaced it... I wouldn't see anything wrong with that of course... BUT, the Si is here to keep the Civic from just looking like a super 4-cylinder car when it's reputation is guided towards the AVERAGE consumer who looks for reliablity. The Civic Type R could potentially ruin the Civic's reputation and Honda would end up cutting it from lack of sales cuz no one would see the Civic as reliable but just a purebred Honda ricerocket. Leave the Type R to the Integra... it's succeeded before and Honda will do it again.
I'm just waiting for the news from Acura for the sophmore Type R.
I really wanted a White Type R. But after seeing how long it may be (I have no patience) and seeing that Premium white Type S' come in Titanium (beige) instead of ebony I just went with the Arctic Blue...prob wont get as dirty as the white would either.
I don't care! I want white!
You could always trade it in for a DC5R in the future you know... but if the Type R could be turbo'ed... man... I dunno... but this is why I'd consider the older Type R... it suits my performance needs perfectly. I don't care about forced induction too much (I don't mind it at all)...
There's a guy selling a black 98 ITR for $19,000 .... 11,000 miles... I can't give up my Civic for it.... I just can't.
Sad thing is my car has more miles than it does.
