This doesn't surprise me. When I had my alignment done a few months ago, I was charged $150. The camber and toe settings were dialed correctly, but the car had a nasty left pull after the service claimed to be a "poorly manufactured tire". 
I have brand new $700 bridgestones in perfect shape... When I got home I discovered that my front tires (directional tread) were placed on the wrong side of the car, causing the problem. Idiots.

thats why I do all my own work.... I dont trust anyone except my wifes uncle who owns his own shop.... he did my timing belt etc.
When I got my alignment they said I needed new tie rods because the end was slightly rusted... I said put some PB blaster on it and WOW it worked.... I watched them the rest of the time... *******s.
