07 Civic Si Sedan Vs 05 Mustang GT question.

Hello, this is my first post here and i was hoping to get a little info on how full of **** my friend is or isn't lol.

I have a 05 Mustang GT which is stock. He drives an 07 Civic Si 4door Sedan but he has a CAI and Catback exhaust and he says he KNOWS he can walk me without problems.

My other friend raced him back when he was stock in his 06 Mustang V6 and beat him....now he has a CAI and Exhaust and thinks he can beat my GT? Is this possible? Do these bolt on's add this much power? lol

By the way he has NOT flashed the ECU its stock.

Thank's in advance

Re: 07 Civic Si Sedan Vs 05 Mustang GT question.

not a chance. if its a stock 05 mustang gt, youre pushing about 300 tq and 290ish rwhp

on an 8th gen si, its a k20z3 and produces stock 197 hp. with a catback and intake it will probably sit just above 200 without a reflash, kpro, or ems system.

unless you are an extremely crappy driver, which i doubt. you would win that without even going near redline.

your 2005 GT is stock so your belting out a respectable 242.5HP at the wheels and about 289lbs-ft of torque. Your stock GT does 4.9 - 5.1 0-60 in a 5MT. His 2007 civic si 4dr belts out 197 at the crank (say 170 wheel hp) and 139lbs-ft at the crank so 125lbs-ft at the wheels. Even with a CAI and a catback exhaust theres no way its gonna happen, stock Si hits 0-60 in 7.1s maybe 7 if he has the mods. CAI maybe adds 10HP at most and CBE adds/frees up about 8-15HP. For him to beat you, hed have to invest alot of money, like force induction or upgrading the cams, full exhaust, alot of sh*t that wouldnt be worth it.

Now i would like to point out that i do have an Automatic GT.

He is complaining that i havent told anyone that... but i honestly don't see the difference because im going to preload the engine anyway.

Re: 07 Civic Si Sedan Vs 05 Mustang GT question.

i beat a 05 gt with my fa5 from a 5mph roll.{problems lauching} at the time i had a sri/rh/exhus/tbs/tbbp/shortshift kit...and he had a 5speed...we did this twice cause he thought he screwed up the first time...but might i add, only to 100mph, after that i think the stange would take me......but now, no way in hell
