I recently replaced one of the burned out tail lights. Then all of a sudden the interior dashboard lights, lighting on my shifter and brake lights do not light up unless I brake.
Explanations anyone?

hmm wow thats strange. um take the bulb out and see if it goes back to normal? it could be a faulty bulb socket where the terminals got crossed.

^^^ both good replies, If using a standard bulb inspect the socket and the new bulbs installation.
Sounds like you have voltage from brake circuit feeding/bleeding somehow into the taillights circuit.

I have heard of brake filaments coming loose on one end and getting over onto the other filament.
Try taking both bulbs out complete and then try testing to see if still occuring. (while parked of course)
