Question Nedd help figuring out what to do with my 2001 sig(auto)

I have been speaking with a few shops in the toronto area, trying to figure out where to start, obviously cold air intake, and full exhaust. The problem is that they are all telling me i am crazy. Full dc exhaust and intake on the auto won't really provide any real performance improvements. Maybe 5horsepower. I find this hard to swallow. I don't want to swap motor, still under factory warranty 90000km. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

soopa

Sorry man, but if your looking for big bolt-on power, you bought the wrong car. Invest in suspension upgrades. Handling has a lot more potential.

stupid ?, would it have made any difference if it was stick. Or is it just a problem(i.e bolt on power) with the 1.7 si.

No, there's no easy power for manuals either. There's just not much to squeeze out of a 1.7L SOHC motor wihout doing something major. But it's a good car, fuel efficient, reliable, looks good and has the potential to handle very well.
