SI rims

- i have si rims on my stock firestones (185/65/15), but i want to change tires to a 205/50/15.
- i have tanabe springs which lowered my car around 2"
- my question is, since the new tire would be smaller in diameter than the stock, would the gap between the wheel and the fender be larger?

YES. To get a rough idea as to how much, look at the "Tire Calc" link at the top of this website.
